Caps

There are many good reasons to install a chimney cap. The main reasons are to keep out water, leaves, birds and many other animals. Squirrels have been know to do large amounts of damage, chewing at the wood trim at every window in the home and even finding the food in the pantry. There are even specialty caps which will address wind caused draft problems.

This cap is used when the smoke of one flue is pulled down and adjacent flue causes smoke to enter the basement when the upstairs fireplace is in use.

Caps provide excellent protection against weather damage.
